Oh my goodness, the rains have been super heavy lately. The current world out here on Vancouver Island is either underwater or covered in heavy snow so I though it best to end the weekend with a sneak peak into Aimee and James’s engagement session last weekend. It was so full of snuggles and laughter that it will definitely brighten this gloomy westcoast evening!
Aimee and James are getting married in May of this year at the gorgeous Puska Properties and they viewed this engagement session as the official kick off for their wedding festivities. They both felt there was no better way to start things off than by getting all dolled up and creating some fabulous images with me in downtown Duncan. I may be a little biased here, but I completely agree with their rationale AND I have been itching to shoot downtown Duncan for a while now! It was perfect.
Aimee and James look amazing and they were complete naturals in front of the camera. I absolutely loved the fact that they brought some of their favourite books along for the session. Vintage books are very important to both Aimee and James and are going to be the theme of their wedding in May, so it was perfect that Duncan has an adorable little bookshop that we could use for some super cute shots! And I have to say, Duncan really does have it all…well lit alleyways, beautiful shops and a lovely little garden where we were able to capture some of this westcoast green. I am so glad I get to be a photographer in the Cowichan Valley!
Here are some of my favourites from Aimee and James’s engagement session. Next up will be their wedding and I am so, so excited!!
